A 51-year-old man is in a critical condition after he was hit by a light motor on the R21`in Kempton Park early this morning.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the patient lying on the grass isle in between the highways.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that the patient had sustained severe injuries to his head, neck and leg and was in a critical condition.
Paramedics treated the patient’s injuries and provided his with advanced life support before he was transported to Tembisa Hospital for urgent treatment.
The driver of the vehicle fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
