Two people have been killed this afternoon when a light aircraft crashed near the R41 in Munsieville in Krugersdorp.
Paramedics could see the wreckage in the mountainous area but was unable to reach it by road. A helicopter flying over the area picked up the ER24 paramedics and dropped them at the crash site.
On scene, paramedics discovered the the lifeless bodies of the two occupants of the aircraft. Unfortunately they had already succumbed to their injuries.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
