Netcare 911 paramedics raced out this afternoon raced to a call for a person in the Craigie Burn area that was bitten by a black Mamba. When they arrived at the scene they were pleasantly surprised to find that the man was bitten by a red lipped herald and not a black mamba.
Paramedics treated the patient at the scene before he was transported to a local hospital for the care that he required.
