A man in his late thirties has tragically died after a drowning incident at the Pipeline Pool on the beach front in Amanzimtoti this afternoon. A report from the scene indicates that the man was swimming in the pool and for unknown reasons disappeared under the water. Life guards immediately pulled the man from the water and started CPR while medics from Netcare 911 and the Provincial services were on their way.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found life guards fervently working to try and save the man, tragically after examining him it was found that he had died. S A P was at the scene and will investigate the events leading up to the drowning.
