A man in his thirties was seriously injured in a motorbike accident along Marine drive in Umhlanga Rocks this afternoon. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene and found the wreckage of the bike lying in the roadway engulfed in flames, the rider was some distance away with serious injuries. While the fire department was battling the blaze, paramedics worked fervently to stabilize the seriously injured biker. After treating him at the scene they transported the man to a local hospital for the care that he required.
