A man in his thirties has tragically died in a drowning incident along the Ushaka beach in Durban this afternoon. A report from the scene indicates that the life guards had pulled the man from the surf and started resuscitation while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
The Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic and ambulance crew arrived at the beach and immediately placed the man on a ventilator and continued with resuscitation . After working fervently for nearly an hour the man was tragically declared dead at the scene.
