A 31-year-old man was killed this morning after his vehicle hit a cow on the N1 60 km outside of Bloemfontein in the Free State.
ER24 paramedics and rescue services arrived on scene and found a light motor vehicle lying 50 metres from the road in the veld.
On closer inspection, paramedics discovered the lifeless body of the driver trapped behind the steering wheel. Unfortunately the man had already succumb to his severe injuries.
It is understood that the man failed see the cow in the middle of road.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
