ER24 paramedics and authorities are on scene. Residents were woken in the early hours of the morning to find their homes flooding. The water rose about 3 metres above road level in some areas. It ia believed some residents had to evacuate their homes through ceilings. Vehicles were pushed several metres away from certain residences.
Neighbours are helping residents with food and other necessary items.
Three people were attended to for trauma and anxiety.
