A thirty-seven-year-old man is in a critical condition following a shooting incident in Strubensvallei in Roodepoort in the early morning hours.
Netcare 911 paramedics received the call for assistance at around 02h20 this morning and upon arrival on scene they found the injured man had sustained a critical gunshot wound following the shooting incident.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the incident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured man to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.
