Three people were injured following a three vehicle accident on the N4 near Rossouw Street in Murrayfield, Pretoria this afternoon.
Netcare 911 paramedics, provincial services and other services arrived at the scene and found that one vehicle had overturned and came to a standstill on its roof, one vehicle sustained damage to the front of the vehicle and a third vehicle sustained damage to the side of the vehicle. Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events are still unknown at this stage and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
Upon assessment of all the occupants, paramedics found that one person sustained serious injuries after the vehicle overturned and two people sustained moderate injuries during the crash.
All three patients were treated at the scene before they were transported to various hospitals for further medical care.
Traffic remains severely affected as a result of the crash.
