KZN Glen Anil road crash leaves four people injured

Four people were injured following an accident on Umhlanga Rocks Drive in Glen Anil this morning.

Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events remains unclear at this stage and will remain the subject of a police investigation.

Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that two vehicles were involved in a side impact collision. Upon assessment of all the occupants they found a thirty-six-year-old man was entrapped in his vehicle. Services had to make use of the Jaws of Life to free the injured man from his vehicle. Once extricated from the vehicle, the injured man was treated at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

Upon assessment of the occupants from the second vehicle, paramedics found a woman and two children had sustained minor to moderate injuries. The three patients were also treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.

Traffic was affected as a result of the accident.
