Three women were injured following a side impact accident at the intersection of Unions Street and Sauer Street in Randgate, Randfontein this morning.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events are still unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
Upon assessment of the occupants they found that three women from one of the vehicles sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious and the occupants from the other vehicle were not injured during the accident.
The three injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Traffic was affected as a result of the collision in the intersection area.
