Friday morning at about 03:00 police attached to Darling SAPS followed up information received from the community of Grottobay West Coast Area about men who were poaching for Abalone and West Coast Lobster.
This led to the arrest of ten (10 ) suspects between the ages 26 and 60 year old for illegal possession of Abalone and Lobsters valued at about 1.5 million. The suspects are expected to appear in Malmesbury Magistrate’s Court on Monday (2015-03-23).
Police commended the community for working together with the police and bring illegal poachers to book..
