A woman sustained moderate injuries this morning after she was hit by a taxi on the M1 Higgison Highway in Savanah Park, KwaZulu Natal.
Paramedics from the ER24 Durban branch arrived on scene and found the female patient lying in the middle of the lane. The taxi had stopped a few metres away on the side of the road.
On assessment, paramedics found the patient lying on her back in a serious condition. The patient had sustained injuries to her arms, chest and head.
Paramedics treated the patient for her injuries and thereafter transported her to RK Khan Hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
