A 32-year-old Chinese national was arrested at Cape Town International Airport on Nature Conservation and Marine Coastal Resources Acts charges yesterday, Wednesday, 24 March 2015.
The suspect was en-route to Durban when the Border Police- anti-smuggling team apprehended him. He was found in possession of five kilograms of rhino horn and chucked abalone.
The suspect is currently in custody and will appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court once he has been charged.
