A man was injured following an accident on Jacobs Street in Gezina, Pretoria this morning after 02h30.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a motor vehicle and heavy goods vehicle were involved in a side-impact accident.
Upon assessment of the occupants they found that the man from the motor vehicle had sustained critical injuries during the crash. The man was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.
The occupants of the heavy goods vehicle were not injure during the accident.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
