A pedestrian has lost her life after being knocked over on the N3 West bound near Berea off ramp this morning. The accident occurred around 9am.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find the severely injured woman lying in the fast lane. They immediately assessed her however found that her injuries sustained were to severe and that she had passed away before paramedics had arrived. She was declared deceased on the scene.
At this stage it is unclear why the pedestrian was walking on the freeway however the necessary authorities were in attendance and will be investigating further.
