An accident at the Westridge traffic light in Umhlanga has left fife people injured this morning at around 06h30. A report from the scene indicate that the taxi collided with a VW Polo, veered off the road and collided with a light pole before coming to rest in the hedge of Umhlanga Manors.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the taxi had fifteen people on board, one five people sustained injuries, one seriously while the other sustained minor injuries. After medics treated the injured at the scene they transported them to a local hospital for the care that they required.
