A man lost his life and another man was injured following an accident on Watermeyer Street near Pretoria Street in Silverton, Pretoria this afternoon.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a motor vehicle had left the roadway crashed against a wall. Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events are still unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
Upon assessment of the two occupants, paramedics found that a man tragically lost his life during the crash and there was nothing that paramedics could do for the man. Sadly the man was declared dead at the scene. The passenger of the vehicle sustained serious injuries during the crash and after receiving treatment at the scene, the injured man was transported to hospital for further medical care.
