An eight-year-old – boy is fighting for his life after a pedestrian accident along Glanville Road in Woodlands this morning at around 07h20. Reports indicate that the child was on his way to school when he ran across the road and landed in front of an oncoming vehicle.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the boy lying in the roadway with life threatening injuries. After placing him on a manual ventilator and deftly immobilising him on a trauma board, they transported the child to the Nkosi Albert Luthuli hospital for the care that he required.
