A taxi has rolled on the Thomas Road in Kenilworth, Western Cape, leaving eight people injured this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics, along with Metro services, arrived on scene and found the taxi lying on its side on the side of the busy road. The occupants from the taxi were found sitting on the nearby sidewalk while another was found lying infront of the vehicle.
On assessment, paramedics found that eight people had sustained minor injuries while the patient lying in front of the taxi had sustained serious injuries.
Paramedics set out treating the patients as well as providing the seriously injured patient with advanced life support.
Once treated, paramedics transported the various patients to nearby hospitals for further medical treatment.
It is understood that the driver of the taxi lost control, causing his vehicle to overturn.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
