Nine people were injured, seven seriously so, after a taxi overturned on the Louisanna Road in Port Shepstone this afternoon. A report from the scene indicate that the taxi veered off the road and overturned, its twisted remains coming to rest on its roof in the Veldt.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found the injured lying in the grass, after triaging the wounded it was found that seven people sustained serious injuries while three escaped with minor injuries.
Paramedics treated all the wounded at the scene before transporting them to a hospital in Port Shepstone for the care that they required.
