Two people were injured following an accident on the M13 in Westville this evening.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a motor vehicle and light delivery vehicle were involved in the accident. The motor vehicle overturned and came to a standstill almost on top of the barrier, while the light delivery vehicle came to a standstill quite a distance from the roadway on the field area next to the roadway.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events are still unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found a man in a critical condition and a woman who had sustained serious injuries during the accident.
Both patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
