Four people were injured following an accident on Randfontein Road near Corlett Avenue in Groblerspark, Roodepoort this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics, provincial services and other services arrived at the scene and found that minibus and motor vehicle collided head-on.
Upon assessment of the occupants of both vehicles, paramedics found that the male driver of the minibus and female driver of the motor vehicle sustained serious to critical injuries. Two children travelling in the motor vehicle sustained serious injuries during the collision.
All four patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the head on collision and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
Traffic was severely affected as a result of the crash.
