Five people were left injured this morning after two bakkies rear-ended each other on the R36 in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found both bakkies parked on the side of the road. Occupants from both vehicle were sitting on the pavement near their vehicles.
On assessment, paramedics found that five occupants that had been travelling on the back of one of the bakkies had sustained minor injuries.
Paramedics set out treating the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Van Velden Hospital for further attention.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
