On Thursday 4 June 2015, at 09:30, a 22-year-old woman was arrested for the possession of Mandrax and Ammunition. The arrest followed after members of the Tactical response team patrolling the Gugulethu precinct received information about an address within the area where illegal substances were kept.
On entering the premises at NY Guglethu, they conducted a search which saw them discovering in the bed room a substantial of amount of mandrax hidden in compartments under the bed and it totalled 2,860. They further found two plastic bags of mandrax powder, two plastic bags of mandrax tablettes pieces, 25 rounds of 7.65 and an undisclosed amount of money.
The 22-year-old woman was arrested immediately and will be appearing in court soon. Anyone with information can contact crime stop on 0860010111.
