A three – year – old is in a serious condition after a near drowning incident at the swimming pools on the Durban beach front this afternoon. A report from the scene indicates that the mother noted the baby floating in the water and pulled the child from the water.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the life guards attending to the child. After stabilising the infant at the scene, they transported the child to a local hospital for the further medical care.
