13 people were injured when a taxi driver lost control of the vehicle on the R56 in Pietermaritzburg earlier this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found the overturned taxi on its side.
The patients were lying on the grass on an embankment.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that they had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
They were treated and transported to local hospitals for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown however authorities were on scene for further investigations.
