Two people have been injured one seriously so after a truck and a bakkie collided on Edwin Swales Drive near the container department around 9pm last night.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a truck and a bakkie had collided in the junction. Paramedics found the two occupants of the bakkie on the side of the road. The driver had sustained serious injuries and was stabilized by Advanced Life Support Paramedics on scene before being rushed through to a private hospital nearby. The passenger of the vehicle had sustained minor injuries and was also transported to the same facility.
It is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
