A biker tragically died in an accident along the M19 just after the otto Volek off ramp in Pinetown this afternoon. A report from the scene indicates that the biker was rounding a bend when he veered off the roadway and struck the Armco barrier. Exact detail to the cause of the accident however will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 rescue and the S A P S search and recovery arrived at the scene and found that the man had landed about ten meters down an embankment in the overgrowth. Tragically, it was found that the man had died due to the extensive injuries that he sustained. The rescue officer and police worked tirelessly to recover the man’s body and bring it back the road level where it was handed over to the Pathology department.
