Three men were injured following a crash on Starling Street near Cosmos Street in Lenasia South this morning. At 06h20 Netcare 911 was contacted for assistance with regards to this crash.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a motor vehicle left the roadway, crashed through a fence, against a tree and then against a wall where the vehicle came to standstill.
Upon assessment of the three male occupants, paramedics found that two men were in a critical condition while the third man sustained serious injuries during the crash.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift one of the critically injured to hospital for the urgent medical care required.
The other two men were treated at the scene and also rushed to hospital for further medical treatment.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
