Nine people have been injured one seriously so after three vehicles collided at the intersection of Candella Road and Wiggins Road in Cato Manor just after 12pm today.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene and found that two vehicles had collided and then one of the vehicles collided with a taxi. A quick survey was done and it was found that nine people from all three vehicles had been injured with one person needing Advanced Life Support intervention to assist in stabilizing him. Once all of the injured had been stabilized they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were in attendance and will be investigating further.
