A man believed to be about 45 years of age was knocked down by a truck on the N3 near the Church Street in Pietermaritzburg earlier today.
When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found the man lying on the road.
Paramedics assessed him. Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for him. He was declared dead.
The truck driver was uninjured.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
