Yesteday morning, Tuesday 21 July 2015, members from the Anti-drug smuggling team of Border Police conducted random searches of luggage of passengers who landed at 08:30 at the Cape Town International Airport on a flight from OR Tambo Airport.
Upon searching the suitcase of a 28-year-old Johannesburg woman, they found various packages wrapped in a baby fleece blanket. Upon opening these packages they found it to be Tik .
Approximately 5kg of Tik with an estimated street value of R1.4 million was seized.
The woman is due to appear in the Bellville Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 22 July 2015, on a charge of dealing in drugs.
