A suspect was shot in house robbery and later succumbed to his injuries in Roshnee.
It is alleged that the owner of the house and his family were asleep when he heard noises downstairs. He awoke to find four suspects had broken into the house.
He immediately called the neighbourhood watch. When they arrived, a shootout ensued between the suspects, the owner and the neighborhood watch guards. During the shootout, one suspect was shot and injured. Paramedics who had been called certified him dead on the scene.
Three other suspects, one of whom is also injured, fled the scene and a manhunt has been launched for their whereabouts and subsequent arrest.
Police recovered an unlicensed revolver, 9mm magazine, laptop and a bag with some of the house breaking implements.
