ast night police in the Karoo assisted by K-9 police received information of a person transporting dagga in a train.
Preliminary investigation was conducted and it led to the arrest of a 37-year-old female suspect for possession of about 25.5 kg dagga with an estimated street value of R51 000-00.
In another incident the K-9 police searched a cooler truck and arrested a 41-year-old man for the possession of 59 000 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R2 950 000-00 and 3.358kg of tik with an estimated value of R1 175 300.00.
Both suspects are expected to appear at court once charged.
Police management commend members involved for their dedication in bringing criminals to justice.
