Eleven people were injured during an accident on Jan Smuts Drive in Parkview, Johannesburg this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a school bus and light utility vehicle were involved in a side-impact crash.
Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that four people travelling in the light utility vehicle and seven people travelling in the school bus, sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
The injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events are still unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
