The act of winning Tiger Wheel & Tyre and Pirelli’s recent F1 Grand Prix competition is about to catapult Jan du Randt of Johannesburg from his F1 season seat on the couch, directly into the heart of the action. The avid fan won a once in a lifetime trip for two to the 2015 F1 Italian Grand Prix in Monza. The race takes place on the weekend of 4 – 6 September 2015.
As any F1 fan will attest, if you’re going to attend just one F1 race in your lifetime, it may as well be Monza. The historic Monza racetrack was built in 1922 and holds the distinction of being the world’s third race circuit to become a permanent one. Locals call it “La Pista Magica” – the magic track – and certainly there will be a lot magic for lucky winner du Randt to soak up on his forthcoming trip.
The fortunate du Randt became a winner on 3 August 2015, when his name was drawn from list of Tiger Wheel & Tyre customers who had purchased any two or more Pirelli tyres during the competition period.
