Just after 9am this morning EMER-G-MED responded to reports of an assault in Nooitgedacht.
It is alleged that suspects gained access to the farm property at about 8am. The domestic worker went out the back door to hang up laundry, and was approached by three male suspects wearing balaclavas. The worker screamed and was stabbed by one of the suspects – who left her lying in the driveway.
The domestic worker managed to get up and flee the scene, running to a nearby petrol station to call for help.
On arrival paramedics found that not only had the domestic worker been stabbed but an elderly lady had been left heavily traumatised.
Paramedics assessed the patient finding that the worker had sustained a stab wound to the shoulder with a possible chest injury.
The patient was stabilised on scene before being rapidly transported to a nearby hospital for further management.
SAPS and ADT were on scene to investigate.
The elderly lady did not want to be transported to hospital, but a Trauma Councillor was called to the scene.
