A man believed to be 28 years of age sustained critical injuries after he lost control of his vehicle on the R64 between Kimberley and Boshoff in the late hours of last night.
It is understood the man tried to avoid hitting a kudu. The vehicle overturned and went over a fence.
When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found the badly damaged vehicle lying on its roof.
One of the man’s legs was stuck under the car. Paramedics and Fire and Rescue Services freed the man’s leg from under the vehicle.
He was assessed and found to have sustained severe trauma to his leg.
He was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Authorities were on scene.
