Five people were injured this afternoon, including four children, after scaffolding collapsed at a high school in Blairgowrie, Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics responded to the scene, and on arrival, found a adult male as well as four high school children inside the first aid room being tended to.
On assessment, paramedics found that all five patients had sustained only minor to moderate injuries in the collapse. Fortunately no-one sustained any serious or fatal injuries.
Paramedics treated the patients and transported them to a nearby hospital for further care.
The cause of the collapse is still unknown.
