A security guard has tragically died in a shooting incident at a shopping mall in Kroonstad last night. Exact detail to the cause of the shooting will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the ground with a gunshot to the head. Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the man at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital for the specialised care that he required. Tragically, the man died soon after arriving at the hospital.
