At approximately 18H30, the venue operations center was alerted to an altercation in the festival area.
Within seconds members from all role players were on scene and it was discovered that a nine-teen year old male had been assaulted and had sustained a single stab wound to the left chest.
On examination by our team it was found that the man was unresponsive and in a state of cardiac arrest.
Advanced Life Support was administered and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation started.
After an hour long exhausted effort by our team, the man was sadly declared deceased on scene.
The scene was then handed over to the South African Police Services as a crime scene.
