Child serious after hot water accident

A six-year-old boy sustained serious burn wounds yesterday afternoon in the Manyakeng Settlement in Wesselsbron, Welkom.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the residence, they found the young boy being tended to by his mother.

Paramedics assessed the young patient, they found that he had sustained serious burn injuries to his legs and arms.

The patient was treated for his serious injuries and thereafter transported to Mediclinic Welkom for urgent treatment.

It is understood that that the child sustained these injuries after jumping into the hot bath.
