Six people were injured after two Bakkies and a Motorbike collided along the R614 about Ten kilometres from Wartburg. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found the roadway obstructed with accident debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles and motorbike. One person was still trapped in the wreckage of his vehicle. After triaging it was found that five people had sustained serious injuries while one escaped with minor injuries.
After paramedics stabilised the injured at the scene they transported them to a hospital in Pietermaritzburg for the care that they required.
