A man in his 40s is in a critical condition after he fell five metres at a primary school in Benoni.
ER24 paramedics were called to the scene, and on arrival, found the patient lying beneath the scaffolding. An off-duty medic was busy assisting the patient.
On assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained a serious head injury and was in a critical condition.
Treatment and advanced life support interventions was performed on the patient before he was airlifted by the ER24 helicopter to a private hospital for urgent treatment.
The cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities will investigate further.
