The ER24 medical helicopter was activated earlier this morning to airlift a patient who sustained severe injuries at a company located on the R50 in Delmas.
It is understood the woman was working when her arm got caught in a machine that rotates. She was pulled into the machine.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene the found the woman in the clinic at the company. It is understood that her colleagues had taken her out of the machine.
Paramedics assessed her and found that she was in a critical condition. She had sustained injuries to her arm, neck and head.
She was treated and airlifted to hospital for further medical care.
