On 23 September 2015 at about 20:00, Durban Flying Squad Narcotic Drug members were patrolling around the Umbilo area when they followed up on information about drugs in the area. The members identified a suspected house and it was searched.
Four big full moon rock Cocaine and 28 small pieces of rock Cocaine, worth a street value of R7 600, 00, was recovered.
A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of drugs. He is due to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today.
The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni commended the members for the arrest of the alleged drug dealer.
“We will continue targeting suspected drug dealers and arrest them if found with drugs. We also appeal to the community to work with the police in getting rid of drugs in our society”, she said.
