19 Injured in taxi crash in Durban

Nineteen people have been injured two critically so after a taxi lost control and rolled several times on the N3 North bound near Spaghetti just after 7am this morning.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a single taxi had left the roadway and rolled numerous times up a bank at the Spaghetti Junction. Two patients had sustained critical injuries and were stabilized on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics. One of the critically injured was placed on a manual ventilator. Once all of the injured had been stabilized on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the taxi to roll however the necessary authorities were on the scene and will be investigating further.
