A man drowned this afternoon at Albert Falls at Albert Falls Dam in KwaZulu-Natal.
It is understood that a group of friends were swimming at the falls when the man jumped from a height into the water and failed to surface again. Paramedics, along with SAPS Search and Rescue were called to the scene. People on the scene could not locate the man in the water.
The search continued for almost two hours before the SAPS Search and Rescue team found the man. Sadly, there was nothing that paramedics could do for him and he was declared dead.
